Greg Robinson
RETIRED – MSW, RSW, Registered Clinical Social Worker
RETIRED
Associates Counselling Services Inc. (ACS) was founded in 1995 by Greg Robinson and Marvin Quiring. Marvin retired several years after the organization was established, Greg however continued to grow and develop ACS with the help of his business partners, administration staff and the therapists.
The vision was to be an organization of highly skilled therapists working together under the banner of ACS to; support each other while offering this community and surrounding area access to well-trained seasoned professional therapists, who can work with diverse populations across the life span with various areas of expertise and intervention strategies to facilitate change with individuals, couples, families and groups in the Southern Alberta area.
Greg retired from ACS in 2021 after 47 years as a practicing Social Worker and 26 years in fulltime private practice as a Registered Clinical Social Worker (MSW, RSW, RCSW).
Greg was also involved with the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and attended the first TRC Event in Manitoba and also attended many hearings for First Nations persons who were harmed in Residential Schools. Greg developed a deep and abiding connection and respect for the Indigenous culture and the individuals and couples he has had the privilege of journeying with. He was also a strong advocate of the Alberta College of Social Work (ACSW) and served for 12 years on the Clinical Regulatory Committee advancing the role of Registered Clinical Social Workers in Alberta.
“It has been a privilege to journey with you through a season of your life. For some the journey was a short piece to get to another place, and others a much longer journey with many hurdles and through various seasons. I count it a privilege that you chose me to assist in your journey and I trust that you benefited from the time spent together.”

Credentials:
I have been a Social Worker my entire career ultimately attaining a master’s degree in Social Work and subsequently the credential of Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) from my Regulatory College. Beyond the academic credentialing there is also much to be said about life experience.
Experience:
Since 1974 I have been involved in various aspects of the human services field initially as a government Social Worker in rural Alberta, to a national project working with persons with developmental disabilities, to a closed adolescent behavioural management facility, to an addictions treatment centre.
Since 1995 I have dedicated my career to building a well-recognized multi-faceted counselling organization (ACS Inc.) in the city of Lethbridge and to assisting Southern Albertans to finding wholeness, balance and well-being in their lives and circumstances. If I can be of assistance to you I would be pleased to be there with you on your journey.
