Welcome and thank you for taking the time to view my profile! I am deeply honoured that you are considering beginning (or continuing) your counselling journey with me. As a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I aim to create a warm and welcoming space where we can come together as a team to explore any challenges you may be experiencing.
I am passionate about supporting children (ages 5+), adolescents, and adults working through stress, anxiety, depression, grief, overwhelming emotions, and relationship challenges.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counselling, as everyone’s life experiences are unique and so too are their counselling needs. I take an integrative approach and draw from a multitude of counselling modalities to best fit your needs as a client.
The modalities that I draw upon include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), emotionally focused therapy (EFT), mindful self-compassion, dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy (SFT), narrative therapy (NT), and synergetic play therapy (SPT).
With your goals in mind, we can explore techniques individually tailored to you, reflect on what has helped you get to this point in your journey, and consider how these strengths can help you moving forward.
I value the importance of self-care, for clients and myself, so I am mindful to engage in activities that refill my cup. I re-energize by connecting with nature through kayaking, hiking in the mountains with my partner, and tending to my numerous houseplants. I also enjoy reading, watching movies, connecting with my Métis culture, and spending quality time with friends and family.
