Since 2007, I have been helping people navigate difficult life situations and mental health symptoms, including anger, anxiety, bereavement, childhood and family of origin concerns, depression, identity concerns, marital/relationship distress, men’s and dad’s issues, parenting, self-esteem, separation/divorce, stress, suicidal ideation, and trauma.
My approach to counselling is a blend of several modalities, including, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Gottman Couples Therapy (Levels 1 and 2), Family-Systems Therapy, Attachment-Based Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I struggled with mental health during my childhood, teen, and young adult years. Luckily, I had several positive role models to support and guide me towards finding myself and feeling positive emotions including hopefulness and joy. My journey has inspired me to help others who are struggling with mental health and finding their purpose.
