Hello! My name is McMillan James and I am a Registered Psychologist and a member of the Psychologist Association of Alberta. I have been working in the mental health field since 2015 and have been practicing as a Registered Psychologist since 2019. I completed an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology and a Masters of Education in Counselling Addiction and Mental Health. My experience encompasses both clinical and educational settings where I’ve worked with a diverse population spanning adolescence and adulthood.
Main areas of focus include: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Interpersonal Relationships, First Responders, Perinatal (Pregnancy, Prenatal, and Postpartum) Challenges and Stress Management.
I am intentional in creating an environment where you can slow down, catch your breath, and regain your balance. I value a Person-Centered and Trauma Informed approach that integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Attachment Focused EMDR, and Mindfulness-Based therapy.
Recently, I have been pursuing additional training in Attachment Focused EMDR and Collaborative Divorce.
